Programs similar to TMG Ripper?

Post by egg »

Ive been searching through this forum since I joined a week or so ago, and ive done a lot of manual browsing through the Tools Of Our Trade forum, but havent seen any descriptions of programs similar to TMG Ripper. My google searches also havent been fruitful. So what other rippers are available?
Thanks in advance,
Egg, the other crackme

Hello egg !

I personally didn't even know TMG Ripper Studio.
Most people here will use IDA for work like this.

Of course this kind of program has some practical approach, but you can't use it very well with newer compilers. (ASM code still works fine)
So I think it'll more understanding and rewriting instead of ripping code.

You might try a 'crude' approach...

1. Download Ollydbg
2. Trace into or over and record the same in a file
3. rip to heart's content

works so much better than TMG.
