    0EEDFADE exception

I'd like to know why i get a 0EEDFADE exception when running an application in olly. When i run the application without olly i'm not getting any exception. Can anyone tell me why? Tnx in advance.
I promise that I have read the FAQ and tried to use the Search to answer my question.

    0EEDFADE exception

it is not a regular window exception like 8000003 (int3) 8000004 (single stepping) c000005 (access violation) etc etc

so you need to read about anti debugging tricks, structured wxception handling etc etc to get to know about it

in short the app you are trying to open in olly does not like being opened in olly

oh me anon---> Thanks for helping me out.
I've read some anti debugging tricks and i presume the app is using some of em. Though, it's to much information to fully understand protection schemes in a short period of time.

Pompeyfan: I've found some usefull information here

    0EEDFADE exception

hey tony if you post some links try not to link it directly use http instead of http so that the user would have to copy paste it to a new browser (referrer will be unknown then)

and mostly i dont think these kind of forums cant have links to some tricky subjects like reverse engineering

but tbd has to decide on that if these links are ok to be posted here
