    Softice and WinXP

As I do with many of my posts I would urge you to look around the board and various forums and perhaps use the search feature before you just post a question without showing something to indicate you've made at least some effort on your own.

On the Newbie forum, about 10 or 11 items below your post there is a thread identified as HMEMCPY which should be a big hint that it might give you some information.

On the Tools of the Trade Forum there are threads about Softice and WinXP and about Driver Studio 2.5 and 2.6 that address issues about the compatability, or lack thereof, of softice and WinXP.

You will find that people here are most/more helpful when you show that you have done some basic homework and indicate what you have done, whether it is a coding question, a searching question, or even just a general question.

I'm sure there is a great deal of information on the NuMega Forum addressing these issues. Maybe you've looked already, but your post doesn't indicate that you have made any effort on your own. Those other threads here seem to have a rather clear answer for your question, if you just look around.

    Well done

One last small point that I've also mentioned on one prior occassion. I may be mistaken, I have been before, but I believe that the avatars are supposed to be identifers of individuals, somewhat like their nick. You are assuming an older version of the avatar of +Splaj and you can read his humorous response when I mentioned this to another new member in the HMEMCPY thread on the Newbie Forum.

Not only did you get the point of how to make this work better for all of us, you provided additional information for others and that's always the best response.

Also, its best if you don't post direct urls here to software companies. It provides the administrators of the pages you visit a direct link back here. Two easy ways to prevent this is to turn off the "automatically parse URLs" buttion under the Options for your post, or use something like http or wxw in the address of the url

    Regards.
