    how to know which protection is used

    when i analyze exe file with peid i have this problem(nothing found*)
    ProtectionID v0.6.4.0 cant find protection ([!] File appears to have no protection or is using an unknown protection)
    exe info have this problem also
    and check it by crypto analyzer but this plugin cant find
    but this exe file is packed
    is possible to find this protection by olly or ida or other tools ?

    You could try these: http://www.woodmann.com/collaborative/tools/index.php/Category:Packer_Identifiers

    However, it's entirely possible that a custom-packer was used instead.
