put a Breakpoint conditional log in TranslateMessage and pout condition
MSG==101 or MSG==102
or MSG==WM_KEYDOWN
and put the mark in stop on condition

is an API.
in this api you can put a Bp Conditonal log, in XP are better.
In 98 is more difficult for no access to the BPX direct in apis.
