icedump help??

how to use and install icedump as i searched and found no goos tutorial how to use and install icedump i have not used it my life befor so pl help me

Run the icedump.exe version from the directory corresponding to your Softice version (type VER in Softice if you don't already know it). That's it. The console output will tell you if you've got it right. Now within Softice you can use the commands such as /dump, /pedump, /screendump, /tracex, /protect, etc (these are probably the most commonly used). If you're confused about the syntax of the commands, do a Search on this board for the actual command (i.e. "/dump") and you'll likely find examples.

There are no Icedump tuts that I'm aware of, but this is of course all in the manual, so the old addage RTFM applies. If you're confused by what it says, RTFM again. If you still have questions, feel free to ask them - after RTFM yet once again.

What he meant was the exports in the winice.dat

EXP=c:\windows\system\kernel32.dll
EXP=c:\windows\system\user32.dll
EXP=c:\windows\system\gdi32.dll
EXP=c:\windows\system\comdlg32.dll
EXP=c:\windows\system\shell32.dll
EXP=c:\windows\system\shell232.dll
EXP=C:\windows\system\advapi32.dll

just uncomment the ";" in front of it

ICEdump says me:

icedump was not loaded yet
VXDLDR failed to load icedump

Any idea?

I have check that softice version you mention.That currently version is for win95.
You have to find later versions of icedump id6018.zip.If you can't find it mail me I'll send it to you

ok after choosing the right it started working thanks
but how to use when i CLtr+d and softice pops up and hwne i give command like :- /DUMP does not work??
