Im trying to find any information about the protection scheme used in Civilization 3 FRENCH. The exe seems to be packed with a soft called SPeEnc ??? Any clues about that ?

the fucking app it's surely protected with Safedisk (it asks for cd even if u entered the corect cd inside - i'm reffering at the clone of it)

It seems effectively to be safedisc protected. When I run it, some files are created in TEMP (NIL32.DLL, NOMOUSE.PIF, etc). There's an email in the EXE header, referring to someone at Laserlok...
As the file is too big to be uploaded, you can dl the patch at URL f**://ftp.download-center.com/pub/download/fr_infogrames_com/patches/fichiers/civ3/civ3v121ff.exe

This patch can be installed *WITHOUT* the CD (or thegame already installed)

Thanks, but i don't have any pb to make it run (i have the cloned CD) but i want to remove the CD checks in order to use it in "no-cd" mode...and it is also for my personnal knowledge

The problem is that i couldn't find any info about it on net...(nada)
