In english this is generally understood as saying
"I like crack cocaine," a drug that people smoke.

In english we usually would say "I like to crack or I like cracking." People would not ordinarily make fun of such a thing except for this particular meaning of "crack." Although everyone knows what you mean, it is something easy to make a joke about.
