flexlm in matlab 6.1 (UNIX)

Hi there, I am trying to analyze matlab 6.1 under linux. There is one call to lm_set_attr with 0x4a parameter (discussed in a Nolan Blender essay). Since I have the target on linux and I am using gdb for debugging I am not able to bpx lm_matlab (vendor daemon), because it is called by lmgrd! Do you have some hints?
Futher did someone already work on that target?

The point is that lm_checkout is never called! Any idea why this happends?

i have sovled my matlab v6, r12 demo on win98. my matlab works forever. perhaps i can dig up my work and tell you what i did, even though i used other tools than you will use. please pm me if you think this will be of assist.
