Funny thing is that each article about viruses says that :
Quote:
viruses have caused millions of dollars of damage
|
but they (intentionaly) forget to mention that viruses caused many many millions of dollars income for AV companies...

They are trying to act like a bewitches or as a devil advocates. This is the critical point where they have to think beyond logic using their common sense (if they have!)....

hmm if I take closer look at the article, seems like it was writen 10-13 years ago (the youngest ref is from 1994) so maybe back then AVs didn't get so much money

But most articles still use this same statment to describe viruses today

That's like saying, "terrorists make money for coffin companies."
The world would still be better without terrorists, nonetheless.

Spot on.
Though the parallels don't stop there - both computer viruses and terrorists do seem to be pivotal points for instilling fear in the masses, often quite irresponsibly.

Hehe, I just have too many favorite South Park episodes to be able to pick and list just a few at all (but sure, those you mention are great indeed).

I think this Thread had become an "Off Topic" South Park love fest!
