i want to unpack? / decompress files.
The format is .pac and .img
The .img is not CD image format, all normal tools i try not working.
.pac all tools fail

It must be some kind of CD image format i think, all .pac and .img files are around 650 MB

What can i do ?

Second: You try searching for the answer to YOUR question BEFORE you post here. That's why the internet was invented. So YOU could try to find information YOU want.

Try something simple at first. Enter into your favorite search engine something like:

unpacking .pac files

unpacking .img files

Read what you find and then search for more information on what you find and ONLY then, come here with a more "intelligent question" beyond: "I tried all normal tools, not working."

I am waiting for the lightning to strike.

P.S. : On the offnote, if i were you, i would try daemon tools to load that img file and yea that pac thing looks like, CrossPAC Compressed Archive.
And i also know that this thread is going to be deleted

Please dont be so angry with me, i just asked a question .

July 25th, 2007, 13:46
No one is "angry" with you for asking a "question"! We are "impatient" with your obvious FAILURE to READ THE BIG RED LETTERS at the top of the Forum on your way in or to read what is written under your signature.

You are typical of those who believe that what THEY want is more important than ANYTHING ELSE and they are too impatient to look around and "learn" before they post what "they want."

We have gone to alot of work to prepare and maintain the quality of these Forums and we share the knowledge with everyone who comes here. We only ask that they observe our Rules, which are VERY CLEARLY called to your attention and which YOU ignored before you posted, because getting YOUR answer was ALL that mattered to YOU.

Now do you see why you got the response you did?

Somewhere i read, that reversing people are always happy to help others, now i see its a lie....

I read FAQ.
I used search function, no result here.
Why not use "Please help me", isnt that a polite way of asking for help ???
"Do not ask for help without showing you made an effort. " I wrote "all normal tools i try not working". As you put me in category "newbie" , this means tools like 7-zip, IZArc for decompress and Daemon-Tools, MagicISO for mounting.
But no luck, thats why i hoped to get help here from experienced people.

Maybe you had a bad day or have a somehow angry nature, its not my fault.
There are tall and small people in the world, fat and slim, intelligent and not so intelligent ones, maybe you only like the "superman" versions.
I am sorry, i am not of that type...

Thank you _InSaNe_ , the CrossPAC hint maybe good ( Tool is called CrossePAC i found on compression.ru )

I LOVE to argue, so if that's what you want, you've chosen the right person.

IF you read the FAQ, which I doubt you actually did BEFORE you posted, you CLEARLY failed to indicate that you had done so and you CLEARLY DID NOT FOLLOW IT'S INSTRUCTIONS!!!

It is self-evident that YOU did not SEARCH for information on the net before you posted. And this is not an issue of "politeness" and saying "please," it is an issue of YOU recognizing that YOU have a "responsibility" to do certain thing BEFORE you post a question here.

You stated you had tried what one would assume are "ready made tools" without having made any reasonable effort to identify your "target" and "the tools which might be effective against it".

How do I know that?? Because I put "unpacking .pac files" in MY favorite search engine and read what I found. That target may be "[T]he .pac file, developed by SafeNet Borderless Security" and there is ample discussion of unpacking such files. Had you searched AT ALL, you would have found such information and come here with a more intelligent question. By the way, if it is the SafeNet product it uses "AES 256 encryption
algorithm and has the option for a 10 – 70 character pass-phrase." It may be something from ProtectPack, which provides "Portable Media Encryption." There are others, but YOU knew that, didn't you, because you had dilligently searched the net before posting here.

Frankly, you opinions of my "attitude" are of no interest to me. I have a responsibility here, which I attempt to carry out in the best interest of these Forums.

What you have clearly demonstrated, so far, is that you were too lazy to search the net for answers to your issue before posting here, and are prone to engage in "useless self-justification" of your failure to do so. So please go wine to your mother, she's the only one likely to give you sympathy for being "pathetic."

You are right, i am a bit lazy.

You catz are off the chain! Killin me over here! Oh Yeah...Greetz All! Im a noob! boob! heh cant say boobies without smiling!

I promise that I have smoked some CRACK and tried to use the Search to find more!

August 24th, 2007, 15:00

If your profile is "accurate", you are "like" "way to old bro" to be talking "shit" and writing in "leet" alphabets and sharing your "breast fetish" or any other fetishes. And if you've actually been "smoking CRACK," it's more than likely that your mind will soon be useless for reverse engineering.

So how about you take a deep breath and drop all the other "nonsense" and simply behave like you might actually be interested in the subject matter of these Forums. The rest of the "shit" is just going to get you a bad "rep" and no "props."

So "chill", be "cool" and try not to spend so much effort trying to "impress."

Its your board, so if it floats yer boat have fun!

Although quoting Imus might just bring the Reverend Jackson down on this place, and I doubt anyone wants that.

Yep. Then we might have to talk about his "family values." But he did ask us all to "forgive him."
